TECHNO-CONSTRUCTIVE CHARACTERISTICS
The OMEGA, TOPGAS, BONGAS, SECURO and INGAS bib cocks are suitable for gas distribution installations for domestic use manufactured according to standards EN 331/UNI CIG 7129.
USES
The cocks are suitable for all kind of gases of the first, second and third families.
SAFETY NOTES
- Pressure limits: The gas valves are designed, built and tested for a pressure MOP 5 - 20 bar up to max dimensions 2”, MOP 5 for others. Gas applications carry the MOP 5 mark. MOP refers to 20 °C.
- Before fitting, check the max MOP 5 operating limit for use with gas of I, II, III category.
- Temperature limits: with gas of the I, II, III category from -20 to +60 °C.
- Avoid using ball valves in brass CW617) with aggressive fluids. We strongly recommend to use ball valves in DZR brass (CW602) in case of aggressive fluids.
- Do not perform maintenance on the fitted valve with the system under pressure.
- Do not stress the fitted valve with external loads.
- Make sure the valve is not knocked in any way as this could impair good operation.
- Keep the valve away from heat sources that might impair good operation.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- The valves can be fitted in any position as long as they are visible and easily accessible and the operating lever is free and can be easily and completely turned to open and close positions.
- For the seal of the threaded vale couplings to the pipes, refer to the provisions of UNI EN 10226 UNI ISO 228 standards or other applicable standards depending on case.
- The screwing up of the pipes must be done using suitable tools and the especially envisaged valve surfaces. The tightening torque must be such as to ensure seal without deforming or ruining any part of the valve.
- After installation, a check must be made of the joint seals and of the system, with reference to technical standards and applicable laws.
- Avoid any tampering with the valves, with special reference to the component parts providing seal, to the operating parts and to the mechanical opening and closing stops.
- For any further information, contact authorised retailers or directly ENOLGAS BONOMI S.p.A. or visit website www.enolgas.com.
WARNING
- any deterioration or destruction of any part of the manually operated ball valve and closed bottom taper plug valve shall result in the need to replace the complete valve: alterations to any part of the complete valve shall result in the valve no longer being in compliance with the performance requirements of this document;
- ensure that the manually operated ball valve and closed bottom taper plug valve allows an adequate flow rate for its intended use;
- all installations should be performed in accordance with existing local installation regulations and codes of practice where they exist;
- it is imperative to follow the installation instructions of the manually operated ball valve and closed bottom taper plug valve manufacturer and of the appliance manufacturer, including those for the correct position of the connection point for the valve. These instructions and warnings may be supplemented as required by drawings.
DECOMMISSIONING
