2 - way ball valve heavy series for actuator

The Ball · o · matic series has been designed to fulfil the most extreme and demanding applications.
The valve is made with a triple-sealed “explosion-proof” pin on the stem consisting of a main PTFE gasket, an O-ring and an anti-friction ring. The ISO 5211 flange guarantees full compatibility with standard market actuators.
BOM valves are suitable for cold and hot water, compressed air, oils, hydrocarbons and non-corrosive fluids.
The valve is available in sizes from ¼ ” to 2” ½.

TRIPLE SEALING BLOW OUT-PROOF STEM

BALL O MATIC ball valve is bottom loaded stem designed to prevent blow-out, with a triple sealing: in the upper part one stem packing in PTFE and one O-Ring in elastomer; an anti-friction thrust washer in PTFE in the lower part.
The patented and automatic system guarantees a perfect tight seal in any working condition,  maintains pressure constant on the seats and, by taking up slackenings, avoid any need for maintenance.

The above mentioned values are indicative (statistic average) and refer to a valve new, as released by ENOLGAS after seven days standstill, at the temperature of 25°. Please consider eventual safety margin in case you might use the valve with different actuators.


Characteristics

FEATURESBALL O MATIC valves are in brass, heavy and appositely designed to be easily and quickly combined with an actuator. Wear resistant, made of solid and long-lasting materials.
Connections to actuators according to ISO 5211.
TECHNICAL FEATURESFull bore.

No need for maintenance.

Ends are UNI EN 10226 threaded.

USESBALL O MATIC valves are suitable for applications with hot and cold water, compressed air, oils, hydrocarbons and non-corrosive fluids. For any special uses please see the table of chemical resistance.
NOTEAccording to UNI EN 13828 in presence of water which could be aggressive for brass alloy, as agree with UNI EN ISO 6509 standard, is necessary the DZR brass alloy.

INSTALLATION OF THE ACTUATOR

Please use actuators whose connection is conformal to the standard ISO 5211 or specific tail and nuts.
In order to choose the force of the actuator refer to the operating effort indicated in the table in the previous page for each size of the valve.
In order to guarantee that valves work also after a long while they have not been used, it is recommended to choose an actuator whose force is higher than the operating effort indicated for the valve.
